#BringBackOurGirls (BBOG) Advocates are Denied the Rights to See the Rescued Chibok Girls.
Four weeks after the 82 girls were released by their captors Boko Haram , the #BBOG advocates have not been allowed anywhere near the girls. Aisha Yesufu a renowned member of the campaign while speaking with the media team in Abuja stated that even some relatives too have not been allowed to see their wards. She stated that a total of 106 girls have been released by Boko Haram and are now in the care of Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, however they have not been allowed to see them and identify them.
They further alleged that the Federal government have refused to collaborate with them for proper identification of the girls, but they would continue aligning with members of the Chibok community to get data for their verification process. Another spokesperson Sesugh Akume expressed his displeasure on how they have been constantly denied access to the girls. He noted that this has slowed down the process of identity verification for the girls.
