Governor of Kaduna State Approves Free Education for Girls in Secondary Schools

This is one of the best news I have heard today. Governor El-rufai should be greatly commended for his strides to attain high quality of education in Kaduna state and all other governors should emulate him. Some of his achievement that I know of are;

1. To balance educational inequity he partnered with Teach for Nigeria. To train teachers and deploy to primary schools in the state to teach the children how privileged children are taught in quality schools. This would enable the children in underserved schools to attain their full educational potentials. A program I am proud to be part of

2. He has now announced free education for girls in secondary schools. This would help to close the gender Gap in education in the state.

3.Appointed authorities would be mandated to go into the streets to make sure all children are in schools during school hours. To curb child abuse, Hawking and loitering about. This would enusre that the forgotten and the neglected children would have access to quality education.
