A young man beats his 8 months pregnant wife to death for not doing his laundry

According to Sun NG, Matthew Ankoor (38) in the picture above was reported to the police in Lugbe Abuja by his neighbors for beating his 8 months pregnant wife Hannah to death. Witnesses say he came home and found that his wife had not washed his clothes and started beating her mercilessly , until she was unconscious. They further disclosed that the accused always violated his wife and 3 daughters, maltreating her and beating her up at will. She took care of the daughters alone , because he continued to reign insults on them for not being male children. Mrs Precious Igbokwe, a former neighbor stated that after the birth of the third girl child, the accused abandoned his lover in the hospital and would not let anyone help Hannah or the baby, he called the baby a bastard, she described him as a sadist, who would not even answer his neighbors greetings .

Out of desperation the wife sought to give him another child and going from churches to churches to pray for a male child. She thought that having a male child for her husband would lessen the violence at home and would make her partner marry her the proper way, as neighbors said they were not legally married but continued to stay together and bore children. The woman died bearing a male child, which was evacuated before they took her body to the mortuary. Matthew who is computer engineer and owns his own business, stated that he was provoked by her acts , that she started fighting him first. He claimed he regretted killing her and that he met her 9 years ago and married her from the village, he advised young men to carefully court their intending spouse to know who she is before marrying her. The police has arrested him now and i hope justice would be served.
