Female Suicide Bombers Attacked and Killed 17 in Borno State
Suspected female suicide bombers attacked Kofa community in Borno State and killed about 17 people. The attacked happened on 18th June, 2017 by 8:30 pm, when Muslims were saying their prayers. Eye witnesses stated that they heard the first bomb around the Mosque area and while they were trying to help the victims, another one was heard , they were terrified as they heard a third blast. They noted that so many people were affected in the bomb blast and it was not an unpleasant sight.
A member of the vigilante group, Mallam Ibrahim Kolo, stated that they evacuated eight (8) bodies while 25 were seriously injured. Mr Victor Isuku, spokesman of Borno State Police Command confirmed the attack and explained that five female suicide bombers denoted the bombs that were strapped on their bodies and a total of seventeen persons were reported to have been dead.
