A man arrested for strangling his wife to death after getting their Househelp Pregnant

In Jos, Victor Dashit (40) has been arrested for strangling  his wife to death. According to News Agency for Nigeria  ( NAN) Victor allegedly tried to cover up his crime by claiming  his wife tripped and died but when the wife was confirmed dead in the hospital,  The doctors saw the signs of strain on her neck, careful study of the evidence revealed that the woman was strangled to death.

Family members noted that the couple had constant fights between them and the woman left her home as some point but was adviced by her pastor  to come back to the husband. After she reunited with her husband she became  pregnant. However trouble escalated in their home, when one night she found her husband on top of their househelp Nora. Nora was sent out of the home, but she returned later to say she was pregnant for the man. This further fuelled more domestic violence in their midst. when the wife was rushed to the hospital after the unfortunate incident with her husband,  She was already confirmed  dead on arrival the doctors tried to save the life of the baby in her womb, but the baby was already dead. The wife had 2 girls and she was expecting a male child. 

In police custody in Anglo Jos Police Station , Victor has confessed to strangling his wife and also confessed to impreganting the maid. He claimed, he did not intend to kill her but only held her by the neck.
